Brigitte Bardot —1960s sex icon who later was notorious for homophobic comments — dies
Bardot, who had left the entertainment industry and lived in near seclusion, died at her home in southern France, Bruno Jacquelin of the Brigitte Bardot Foundation for the Welfare and Protection of Animals told the Associated Press. He did not give a cause of death.
