Messinger, an assistant professor at Northeastern Illinois University and author of “LGBTQ Intimate Partner Violence: Lessons for Policy, Practice and Research.” “Silence on the issue I just don’t think is an option.” Compared to people of all orientations, bisexual women are 60 percent more likely to enter an abusive relationship.
